Analysis of Winter Environment Based on CFD Simulation: A Case Study of Long–Hu Sand Feng Shui Layout at Jiangxi Bailudong Academy Complex

In ancient Chinese architecture, Feng Shui was a prevalent practice used to enhance the built environment. This study utilized computer simulation techniques assess effectiveness of Long–Hu Sand layout in Bailudong Academy complex Jiangxi, China, compared without principles. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) were employed simulate winter courtyard wind environment, and resulting simulations analyze ventilation both layouts. The findings indicate that provided better speed pressure ratios courtyard, which more conducive human comfort helped prevent infiltration cold air. area ideal difference between front back main house for indoor also larger non-Feng layout, meeting standard environment evaluation. highlights ecological wisdom people confirms optimizing improves winter. practical implications these results include improving sustainability contemporary architecture urban planning.
